Re-entry register
As of
Every catalogued object whose flight has ended, from the first in 1957 to the latest on 18 October 2026, each under a permanent entry number with a page of its own. Objects still in orbit are in the satellite directory.
Legilux
Kept by 303 Overwatch A.S.B.L from the CelesTrak catalogue, so that an operator or a regulator can cite how a flight ended by a number that does not change. Accredited by the Luxembourg Ministry of National Education.

The busiest year is marked. 2026 is the year to date. As of 2026-10-19.
Standards of the register
- An entry is made only when the public catalogue records an end date for the object. Nothing is entered on a forecast.
- Dates are UTC calendar days as the catalogue publishes them. The register does not add a time of day it does not have.
- An entry number is the year the flight ended and a sequence within that year, assigned in order of end date and then NORAD number. Once assigned, a number is kept in every later build. A new entry takes the next unused number in its year.
- When the catalogue changes an entry's end date, name or ending, the change is published below with the day it was noted, and the entry keeps its number.
- Every count on this page is computed once, at build, from the same rows the table shows.
What changed
Each daily build records what it added and corrected. The same record is published as a feed you can subscribe to: catalogue changes (RSS).

Where this comes from
The rows are the CelesTrak satellite catalogue (SATCAT), maintained by CelesTrak. Upstream: US Space Force data published on Space-Track.org. "How it ended" is read from the catalogue's orbit type and orbit centre: an impact with Earth as the centre is a re-entry; an impact elsewhere names the body; a landing names the body when it is not Earth. Space-Track.org's user agreement records US Space Command's blanket approval to redistribute basic space situational awareness data on condition of appropriate citation, which every page here gives; CelesTrak's usage policy states no redistribution terms. The source and build date of every reference page are listed on the reference page.
What this is not
The register records what has ended. It does not predict what will. Re-entry predictions for objects still in orbit are issued by the 18th Space Defense Squadron through Space-Track.org and are not republished here.

If you fly a mission from the EU today
Until its entry is made here, the ground segment that flies it falls within NIS2, which brings the duty to exercise your security measures and assess their effectiveness. 303 Overwatch runs a no-fee working session that helps your team build that exercise programme for the rest of the mission, and accredited SCOR training for your people.
